The Studio began as Heartland Cafe gradually acquired the storefront at 7016 N. Glenwood. Throughout the years it has been a yoga space, a workout space, rehearsals for musicians and actors, for drum circles, meetings of political, spiritual, community, and festive in nature. In 2005, BoHo Theatre joined with Heartland Cafe to make the Studio their permanent performance space. After a series of renovations and upgrades, the space now boasts a small lobby, box-office, dressing rooms, and an intimate performance space. The majority of Bohemian Theatre Ensemble's season is performed in the BoHo Theatre @ Heartland Studio space.
