The Building Stage in Chicago

The Building Stage was founded to support a working process that draws heavily on the physical theater tradition and its concept of the Actor-Creator. It is a process driven by the spirit of investigation: to ask, through action on the stage, how a piece functions, how it is constructed, how it communicates, and what a performer must do to make it work.
