Smokey and the Bandit: The Musical Reviews
Chicago Reader- Somewhat Recommended
"...Timmy Hart Barron plays the good ol' boy Bandit here, Ali Delianides stands in for Sally Field, and Mark Hespen lends his fine, thundering voice to the role of Sheriff Justice. Together, they pilot cardboard cars, bark into disconnected CB radios, and guzzle down truck-stop fare from slight hostesses in huge beehive wigs. Striving for So Bad It's Good points, Smokey succeeds in being almost as fun as it is ridiculous."

"...SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT: THE MUSICAL gives you the heart of the original movie by including famous lines and the basic run down of the story. So if you're a die-hard fan, you'll appreciate all the references from the movie. And on the other hand, if you've never seen it before, you'll enjoy the story with its musical numbers and unique twists as well. All in all, it's a foot tappin good evening out."
