Quake Reviews
Chicago Reader - Somewhat Recommended
"...Ultimately, Quake feels like a collection of zany, romantic comedy sketches dressed up with fancy talk about stars. A little goes a long way, but Sara Sawicki's staging for Buzz 22 Chicago makes inventive use of a tiny performing space and features a cast whose energy never flags. Rebecca Loeser's Lucy is goofy, gangly, and just shy of too much."
Chicago Theater Beat - Somewhat Recommended
"...Buzz22 Chicago is a very young theatre company, both in the sense of the age of the group and the ages of its members. These are fresh-faced college grads, and so I extend my most sincere commendation to them for putting up a show (and at the Royal George no less). In fact, they are putting up more than just one show. Quake is accompanied by another play, Residue, in repertoire. They are obviously an ambitious group of young people with a passion for the form. Although Quake has its imperfections, I look forward to seeing what they deliver in the future."
