Devils Don't Forget Reviews
Chicago Reader - Highly Recommended
"...A pair of thugs (played with chilling malice and dopey tenderness respectively by Don Hall and Gabe Garza) try to extract a MacGuffinish memory from him, leading to a creepy underworld torture scene straight out of Grand Guignol. Buster's fourth-wall-breaking intermezzi add little to the already thin narrative, but the superb cast and moody aesthetics impart plenty of momentum to Fisher's hallucinatory tale."
Chicago Theater Beat - Highly Recommended
"...The violence in this production is never arbitrary. The screen images recall the work of avant garde filmmaker Kenneth Anger. The black and white images are scratchy and stark while the color frames appear to bleed and throb. The Mammals continue to bring innovation to the Chicago theater scene. Theirs is a fresh take on expressionism, the absurd, and the psychosis that can ensue in the search for truth in a mendacious and dark society."
