"...despite all my misgivings about Barrie's work, I've come to look forward to the strangeness of a show with its congealed mother/daughter/lover metaphors, its sad heart reflecting the horrors of Victorian parenting, and wherein the heroine happily packs off her beloved daughter with no assurance she may ever see her again. Most notably, Rigby's definitive Peter Pan, now and may it be forever, embodies the hold that its central character has over the children that lurk within us all."

"...At the age of 60, the Olympic gymnast-turned-Broadway star is still in sensational shape, flying high in green tights and tunic. In real life she may have a husband, four children and a major theatrical business (she is among the producers of the show). But just attach this petite, impossibly agile, wholly fearless woman to a couple of wires and she might as well be a test pilot trying out some new supersonic jet. Rigby is nothing short of amazing."

"...In walking out of the theater, I felt 50 years younger and yearned to be that child again filled with so many happy child hood memories. It is my hope and prayer that parents will bring their children to this production and that the children will come out with the same happy feeling. Now is the time for that magic and innocence. Now is the time for kids to experience being kids and to enjoy their childhood. Just like Peter Pan says, “I won’t grow up”!"

"... All-in-all Glenn Casale’s enchanting new production is well conceived and directed, allowing Moose Charlap, Jule Styne, Carolyn Leigh, Betty Comden and Adolph Green’s richly melodious music and lyrics to be enjoyed by a new generation of young theatre goers. This slightly abbreviated production (two acts instead of three) runs two hours WITH intermission, perfect for audiences of all ages. And when Peter asks the audience to bring Tinkerbell back to life the applause is thunderous, as is for the high-flying finale with Rigby soaring out over the audience all the way up to the top of the balcony. This is a production that should not be missed."
