Set in contemporary India, this story, inspired by true events, follows a legally declared dead farmer in a land grab scam, and how this "dead man" fights to regain his life and identity. As he crosses India in search of justice, Gopal Masra meets thousands who share his plight. The Masrayana combines story theatre narrative with South Asian classical, modern, and folk dance along with live music to create a warm, richly humane, and universal modern saga.
