God forbid you might be gay. Or black. Linder portrays this testosterone-fueled picaresque with an easygoing cynicism ("It's like Auschwitz, with a keg"), but it's not a teardown job—you sense his conflicted emotions about the Hellenic experience. Not all of it was bad."

Non-alums probably still won't get why anyone goes through a fraternity hazing, but they should still get a laugh at the ridiculousness of it all, and still be moved a little by the memory of a time when they were just trying to find a place and circle of friends where they would fit in."

"...Staged in a large meeting room at the German cultural center in Lincoln Square, Hobgood’s production is a mess, from the over-caffeinated performances to the clumsy use of the space. Having set up playing areas haphazardly in various spots around the room, Hobgood requires audience members to chase down the actors at the top of each scene. Frankly, it’s not worth the effort."
