The Nebraska Project
1439 W. Jarvis Ave Chicago
When a bridge that links a small river island in rural New Jersey to the mainland collapses, some unsavory elements take advantage of the residents’ isolation to further their own twisted ends. The ensuing violence, lost innocence, and struggles with identity bring together the misanthropic inhabitants, even as outside forces conspire to tear them apart. This original work manifests the themes, atmosphere, and context of the Springsteen's pivotal 1982 album, while unearthing a unique story that’s disturbingly relevant today.
