"...Filip-Tibble, who also directs this production for Ouroboros Theatre Company, strives to find resonances among the trio and across time (Rostand and Hooker each have long-suffering wives, all three struggle with their writing), but the play feels static nonetheless--particularly with regard to Rostand and Hooker, whose desk-bound struggles lack dramatic interest. Dimly lit and humorlessly acted, Filip-Tibble's production does little to enliven her subjects."

Unfortunately, Filip-Tibble readjusts that legendary schnoz too many times in Ouroboros’ tripartite take on the literary permutations of the real-life Savinien de Cyrano. The swollen result obfuscates her half-cocked premise: that our legacies are mutable and wrested from us when reinterpreted in art."
