"...There are two terrific performances: Heidi Kettenring in the lead role of tomboy Jo, and Dara Cameron in the even-trickier part of selfless Beth, the angelic, wholly perfect March sister who provided the pathos popular in 1869, when Alcott's novel first appeared."

"...it is Kettenring (Nessarose in "Wicked," Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl" and the wife in "I Do! I Do") who powers the heart of this show. An actress for whom technique is just a given, she has the ability to magically bare her soul without ever seeming sentimental. Real, immediate and dynamic, she draws you in and never lets you go."

"...The spirit and energy of the great American classic, "Little Women" thrives in the musical at The Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire. While most of the songs advance the story pleasantly if without magic, "Astonishing," is the showpiece for star Heidi Kettenring."

"...Heidi Kettering shines with a clarion voice as Jo, the independent woman who is Alcott's alter ego. And Abby Mueller stands out as Meg, the sweet sister who falls in love with John Brooke, engagingly portrayed by Jarrod Zimmerman."

"...the limitations of the score doesn’t stop the Marriott’s blazing cast from making Little Women a joyous and even inspiring event. Led by Paula Scrofano ( more gorgeously luminous than ever in the fourth decade of a remarkable career ) as Marmee March and Heidi Kettenring ( fire-eyed and clarion-voiced ) as the headstrong Jo, Little Women’s ensemble infuses every moment of the production with heart."

"...under the direction of Joe Leonardi and musical direction by Doug Peck, two seasoned veterans who know how to fine tune all the parts to make a better whole and with a cast of some of Chicago's finest, this is an outstanding production that the entire family can enjoy."

"...Little Women is haunting show filled with rich voices and pretty people that transports us back to a more simple time. This operetta styled show does justice to the classic novel. It is more than a ‘women’s show.’ I like this enchanting show and so will you. Marriott Theatre, once again, proves that they produce the finest intimate musicals. Don’t miss this beautiful show."

"...For their holiday show, the Marriott Theatre has secured the rights to Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women". The recent Broadway musical has a book by Allan Knee, with music and lyrics by Jason Howland and Mindi Dickstein. The magic of Director Joe Leonardo and that of the Marriott Theatre is giving audiences a much tighter and better version than the touring one that played the Cadillac Palace and the one seen in New York on Broadway. Being a classic book and a movie, some men might not feel it is their cup of tea, but I assure you that you can put those reservations to rest."
