It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play

Oil Lamp Theater
1723 Glenview Road Glenview

Inspired by the classic American film, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry is performed as a 1940s live radio broadcast in front of a live studio audience. Five actors perform dozens of different characters in this briskly-paced radio play that brings Frank Capra's classic film to the stage. This show recreates the atmosphere of live drama on the radio in the 1940s, complete with creative sound effects. The story captures all the warmth and magic of the holiday season when an angel comes to the aid of a warm-hearted but frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like for his family, friends and community if he had never been born.
