Coronado Reviews
Chicago Stage and Screen- Recommended
"...Though both the play and the production fall into some of the pitfalls of the genre, too self-consciously tough and ironic, a little too pat to be believable, Dennis Lehane is a smart writer, whose work offers a sort of there-but-for-the-grace mirror to examine the universal questions of American society. There is enough action to satisfy any fan of crime drama, enough poetry to satisfy those of a more literary bent, and enough social philosophy to make for a terrific post-show discussion. The cast bring passion and compassion to characters who, for the most part, are trying to make things right after making choices that were terribly wrong. Are they bad or good? That’s for the audience to decide."
