When Marty Scorsese wanted a juicy gothic thriller he turned to writer Dennis Lehane. So did Clint Eastwood. And Ben Affleck. In fact, some of the most harrowing, inventive films of the new century -- Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone and Shutter Island -- were all inspired by Lehane novels. But great as they are, the flicks pale in comparison to the riveting, live excitement of Lehane's only play Coronado. This modern-day Greek tragedy tracks three intersecting stories: a recently freed inmate and his father partaking in a deadly battle of wits; a psychiatrist and his patient who are illicitly involved; and two lovers, caught in a love triangle, plotting a murder. Now Making Rain Productions presents this intense look at the dark side of the human spirit.
