"Contention: A Love/Hate Story" is a dark comedy that jumps through time to catch the contrasting moments of playfulness and anger, bitterness and desire, deceit and compromise, that define a passionate relationship. Steve Nelson, actor and co-creator says, "I got the idea from an improv set I did over the summer. The first scene was a couple's break up, and the second scene was the couples first meeting. There was something really satisfying about contrasting the kind of heated ugliness of a relationship being broken with the spontaneous magnetism of a first encounter where sparks are really flying."
