The Hypocrites are looking for strong musicians that can sing, act and dance for Sean Graney's adaptation of Pirates of Penzance.
Adults of all types encouraged to audition.
THE ENTIRE CAST OF TEN (6 men, 4 women) MUST BE ABLE TO PLAY AT LEAST ONE INSTRUMENT WELL.
An ideal candidate for this show would be able to play a few different instruments, have a great singing voice and possess some acting chops to boot!
We are very excited for this project, but please... serious inquiries only. If you do not possess all the necessary skills we are seeking, please do not submit to audition.
Audition Dates (by appointment only, walk-ins will not be seen):
August 28th 9am to 2pm
August 29th 10am to 2pm
All Rehearsals will take place at The Horn at 4527 N. Ravenswood
Performances will take place at The Chopin Theatre at 1543 W. Division
Rehearsals begin Monday, November 1st
Monday thru Thursdays 7pm to 11pm
Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 4pm
Show opens Dec 19th
The run breaks for the Holidays and picks back up Jan 6th
Thursday - Saturday at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3pm
Wednesday evening shows and Saturday matinee shows will be added to the final two weeks of the run.
Show Closes January 30th
Actors are expected to perform a one minute monologue. They are also expected to sing a song of their choice while playing an instrument. There is no piano in the show therefore there will be no piano or accompanist at these auditions.
