Fifth House Ensemble, a Chicago-based chamber music group, is seeking actors for its interdisciplinary 3-concert series: "The Weaver's Tales." Working in collaboration with directors Rebekah Scallet and Lindsey Marks, each concert will feature physical theatre performance intermixed with live music, weaving together stories from classic fairy tales to create bold new presentations of timeless concepts. We are also working with fashion designers and video artists to add further dimension to each concert.

Auditions will take place in 5-minute time slots between 6:30 and 9:30 on August 17th, in the area of North and Clybourn (specific location to be given out when scheduled). Be sure to note if you require a specific time.

We are looking for versatile performers with experience in (or who are comfortable exploring) physical theatre, dance, or other movement-based theatrical expression. Our goal is to create a small ensemble of artists that will work with the directors & musicians on each concert in developing characters and physically telling the tales. We are looking for both male and female characters of open ethnicity, and broad age ranges.
