MICHAEL: African-American Male, 40. Senior Associate at a New York law firm; Hard working, industrious, alcoholic.

SARAH: Caucasian Female, 32. Michael's girlfriend; Associate at a New York law firm. Beautiful, nerdy, conservative looking. Tightly wound.

SIMON: Caucasian Male, 40. Michael's best friend. A dentist. Handsome and easy going until he's not. His wife Jenny is an interior decorator and they are having a hard time conceiving a child so their marriage is suffering accordingly.

TED: Caucasian Male, 30's. Michael's upstairs neighbor. Noisy and difficult to control. Seemingly a little prone to violence. A self described house-husband who feels put upon by a world that hasn't given him a fair shake. Maybe not in the best shape. (Also plays LEONARD, a yoga instructor.)

MARK: Caucasian Male, 50's. Michael's boss at the law firm. Smooth, legal, lawyerly, Patrician. BOB: Caucasian Female, 40's - 50's. Butch lesbian. President of Michael's condo. (Also plays REAL ESTATE AGENT, and WAITRESS.)

DELROY JOHNSON: African-American Male, 20's. A basketball star. (Ideal actor would be a former basketball player.)

A Note on Nudity: FULFILLMENT is a play about power in contemporary America. The roles of MICHAEL, SARAH and SIMON require actors to participate in staged sexual encounters which will require them to perform select scenes nude. The production will have a professional choreographer who specializes in staging intimacy to create a safe and comfortable environment for these scenes, which are essential to the narrative and themes of the play.
