Description:
The Beverly Theatre Guild is pleased to announce open auditions for the second production of its 2009-2010 Season, Arsenic and Old Lace, the classic comedy about two sweet mercy-killing elderly spinsters written by Joseph Kesselring.

The production will be directed by John Grant-Phillips.

Casting 11 Men, 3 Women:

  • Abby Brewster, Martha Brewster: Sisters- leads, Victorian ladies, play as 60-70
  • Elaine Harper: 20s- major supporting role
  • Rev. Dr. Harper: 50-60- 1 scene
  • Officer Brody, Officer Klein: Beat patrolmen- 20s-30s
  • Teddy Brewster: 40s- is convinced he is Teddy Roosevelt
  • Mortimer Brewster: 30s- energetic, physical comic
  • Mr. Gibbs: 50s-60s- 1 scene
  • Jonathan Brewster: - late 30s-40s
  • Dr. Einstein: 40s-60s, alcoholic plastic surgeon


Time Commitment:
All Performances take place at The Baer Theater at Morgan Park Academy Arts Center, 2153 West 111th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60643

Saturday, January 30, 2010, at 8:00PM
Sunday, January 31, 2010, at 2:00PM

Reading from the script and/or, if desired, prepared monologue 3 minutes or less. Audition sides are available at beverlytheatreguild.org. Bring Headshot and resume, if available.
