Auditions for a one-act play (born from sketch comedy) entitled Will Work For Brood will be held on Sunday, May 20, 11am to 2pm at GTT. Will Work For Brood was written by a writing graduate of the Second City's writing program, and former producer and actor at GTT. .
The show follows the Legato family on their quest to stay in their home during the economic downturn. The family patriarch, Phil, after briefly flirting with mediocre levels of success, now finds himself out of work and having to support his two grown children, who have followed in their father?s footsteps to the unemployment line. The family is strapped for cash, and eviction is looming. With limited job skills, no motivation, and even fewer scruples, these three will have to get creative in order to keep a roof over their heads.
Actors of all ages will be cast. For information, the actors already cast are between the ages of 25 and 50. The following roles are available:
WENDY - corporate career woman. Character is significant to the plot. Prim, proper, arrogant.
LONNIE - law enforcement woman. Character is significant to the plot. Authoritative, cold.
BERTRAND - male waiter, and former hotel bellhop. Character is incidental to the plot. Foreign, non-specific accent required.
MISTER ROGERS - looking for someone to essentially do a decent imitation of Mister Rogers. Character is incidental to the plot.

Rehearsals will be twice a week on average, beginning immediately.
The scripted show is scheduled to run as a premiere on Wednesday and Thursday night, July 11 and 12 at 9:00 p.m. at Gorilla Tango Theatre with the anticipation of a longer run to follow
