Muse of Fire Theatre Company in Evanston is seeking male and female actors for its outdoor production of Julius Caesar, to be directed by Artistic Director Jemma Alix Levy. Each summer, Muse of Fire produces free outdoor Shakespeare in Ingraham Park in Evanston. We use no sound or lighting equipment and no set, performing on the same level and in the same light as our audience.
In addition to 10 men and women, ages 18 and older, we are also seeking one young man, age 14-18, who can sing and/or play an instrument.
Auditions will be at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St. in Evanston, room 225.
Rehearsals begin June 26, and are generally held from 6:30-10:30pm Tues-Fri, and 2-6pm Sat and Sun. Performances are Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm, Aug 4-Sept 9. Actors are also expected to walk with the company in Evanston's Fourth of July parade. All rehearsals and performances are in Evanston.
