Gorilla Tango Burlesque (Provocative Parody for the Discerning Nerd) is seeking bright, funny female comic actresses of all colors, shapes, and sizes who move well and are comfortable with their bodies to join the Geek Girls for our next production The Dark Knude: A Batman Burlesque.
Auditions will be held in one-hour blocks on Sunday, April 15 and Monday, April 16 from 7:30-10:30pm (callbacks Tuesday, April 17th from 8-11PM). Performers are paid a percentage of ticket sales plus tips—avg. $30-$50 per show.
NOTE: This is a sketch comedy burlesque production. All roles perform classic burlesque striptease and will appear in panties and pasties. Please do not audition unless you are comfortable undressing in front of an audience! You must be 21 or older to audition!
There will be some light rehearsals in May and heavier rehearsals in June and July. Show opens first weekend in August at Gorilla Tango Theater and will perform once a week on either Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evenings (day TBD). Show will run for a minimum of two months with a high probability of extension.
