GreenMan Theatre will be holding auditions for The Matchmaker by Thornton Wilder on Sunday Feb 26 at 1 pm and Mon. Feb 27 & Tues. Feb. 28 at 7 pm.
Auditions will be in Asbury Hall at First United Methodist Church at 232 S. York in Elmhurst. GreenMan Theatre Artistic Director David Soria is directing the production.
Dolly Gallagher Levi is a widow who brokers marriages and other transactions in Yonkers, New York at the turn of the 20th Century, she sets her sights on local merchant Horace Vandergelder, who has hired her to find him a wife. After a series of slapstick situations involving mistaken identities, secret rendezvous behind carefully placed screens, separated lovers, and a trip to night court, everyone finds themselves paired with a perfect match.

Auditions consist of cold reading from the script, with monologues optional.
