The Rock & The Ripe (a new play about the bullied and bruised gay youth of America) is a fresh project and LGBT rights movement coming to Link's Hall (Sheffield and N. Clark) the first weekend of June with a possible extension at another theatre TBD. Possible collaboration with national LGBT rights organizations and initiatives.
The new play, directed and written by Mark Blane, has several components: a live performance, an online viral campaign and movement, and a book.
Set in a waiting room in a school, the small ensemble of characters are awaiting their turn to enter the principal's office to receive their punishment. This dramedy depicts the lost generation of the gay suicides.
