First Folio Theatre
Summer 2012 Internship

Pay: $50/week

Description:

First Folio Theatre is currently accepting headshots and resumes for Internship positions for their summer 2012 production of The Merchant of Venice.

This is a performance Internship - Interns play small roles in the show as available, and understudy some of the major roles as well. There is a small stipend of $50/week. EMC points can be earned on this show. There is a $100 fee to join Equity's EMC program. Tech work is required and will be done during the daytime hours, so your schedule should be fairly free, or at least flexible. There is no housing, and no public transportation, but carpooling is quite common.

For Interns, the willingness is all (to paraphrase Hamlet) so please don't audition if you are not ready and willing to do whatever duties may be assigned to you with a good attitude. On the other hand, interning can be a lot of fun and you'll make great connections in the theatre community. Interns will receive training in the Folio Method, will attend all rehearsals to observe the process and learn, and may also participate in various free workshops offered during the summer. They will also participate in a special performance for the Mayslake Open House event in July.

Material To Prepare:
