Description:

Stone Hearth Staged Reading Series of the Irish American Heritage Center announces auditions for Maurice Walsh's The Quiet Man, adapted by Frank Mahon, directed by Mary Ellen O'Hara. This is a 50-minute staged reading version of a full length play set in 1920s Ireland.

Seeking 2 women, mid-20s to late 30s, and 5 men, late 20s to early 40s. Irish dialect required. Prepare a one minute monologue of any type.

The Stone Hearth performance will be held on March 25, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Irish American Heritage Center. Another performance will be at a local Irish pub on March 4, in the afternoon. A total of 11-14 hours rehearsal time, schedule TBA.

Auditions will be held on February 6, from 7 - 9:30 p.m., callbacks on February 7, same time, at the Irish American Heritage Center, 4626 N. Knox (Wilson and Knox, just east of Edens Expressway).
