The Lady from Dubuque
6157 N. Clark St Chicago
At Jo and Sam's party, liquor flows and party games turn into a duel of hurtful words. Jo has the most belligerent wit of all—and for good reason. She is dying. The couple awakes the next morning to find that a mysterious woman and her companion have arrived in the night. Why are they here? Is the woman Jo's mother (as she claims), the Angel of Death, or simply The Lady from Dubuque? Master American playwright Edward Albee raises many questions and provides no easy answers in this biting, darkly funny drama.
