Saturn Returns Reviews
Chicago Tribune- Somewhat Recommended
"...It's a show that has charm, but it's also frankly exhausting from time to time. The initial framing device sets Harrison up as the true believer in the Saturn return trying to get her castmates (Kurt Chiang, Lily Mooney, Kirsten Riiber and Andrew Tham) to sign onto the idea that the pain of adult transitions lies not in ourselves and our circumstances but in our stars. Or at least planets. As she tells us at the beginning, "My name is Tif, and I am here to teach you about belief.""

"...Henderson and her wholly likable cast of four playfully and poetically excavate the chaos in their lives, as well as their efforts to find belief systems to keep them anchored. It's consistently entertaining and intermittently insightful, but its tangential structure, with new performance conventions arising every few minutes, renders it largely incoherent."

"...This show has a very clever premise. It's especially geared toward the twenty and thirtysomethings. This intellectual lampoon asks the ultimate question 'can you learn to believe?' That thought-provoking question continues to keep rolling around in my head. YES! maybe?"

"...The cast delves into their own histories and losses in this context, in a loosely connected series of scenes that draw more on the vocabulary of devised theatre and performance art than on any kind of typical dramatic structure."

"...As it stands, "Saturn Returns" is a bit clumsy, occasionally endearing though more often showing signs of being under rehearsed. Within its unwieldiness are kernels of truth though they curiously appear no more treasured than the myriad distractions that entertain even as they whittle the impact of this personal story of grief and belief."
