Haloween Plays

With Halloween almost here what better way to get into the Halloween spirit than see one of the many Halloween-ish shows now haunting many Chicago theatres.

This year theatergoers have a variety of different choices to choose from ranging from the dark to the more traditional.

For the more traditional you can check out Frankenstein playing at the Beverly Arts Center or you can see this Mary Shelley classic in an outdoor setting with the Theatre-Hikes production at The Morton Arboretum.

Also, The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow is being presented at the Rogue Theatre where you can join an ensemble cast as they tell the story of the stern schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane, his love for a girl named Katrina, and his encounter with the famous Headless Horseman.

If a dinner-theater murder mystery is more for you then check out Halloween Homicide that will play at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre on Halloween night.

Is a haunted house more what you are looking for? If so then head to the Oracle Theater where they are presenting the 15 minute Disturbed which combines live action, multimedia, special effects and twisted scenarios for your Halloween enjoyment.

If you are a fan of slasher movies then head over to the Annoyance Theatre for their production of Splatter Theater which features clichéd horror movie characters including the high school jock, the virgin, the class clown, and the bimbo all killed in various disgusting ways.
