Playwright Ken Ludwig, the master of period-perfect farce (see Lend Me a Tenor, The Fox on the Fairway), aimed for the stars in Moon Over Buffalo and the result is out-of-this-world funny. In this fast-paced comedy set in Buffalo in 1953, a husband-and-wife acting team with a crumbling marriage try to keep their company together long enough to allow famed director Frank Capra to see their repertory ensemble perform. But with a pregnant ingenue, a drunk leading man and a surprise visit from their daughter, things quickly go horribly -- and hilariously -- wrong. The original Broadway run of Moon Over Buffalo starred Carol Burnett and Philip Bosco and ran for more than 300 performances, and now Jedlicka Performing Arts Center presents this exciting new production.
