Loose Knit

Loose Knit

The Public House Theatre
3914 N. Clark Street Chicago

In this popular comedy, five women in a weekly knitting circle find their lives in a state of flux. When Miles, a self-made millionaire before he turned 30 (who bears some striking similarities to our current President), enters the circle, things get all tied up in knots. Following a series of blind dates in a sushi restaurant, Miles and the women begin to confront issues of betrayal, lust, chauvinism and politics. Playwright Theresa Rebeck is a multiple-award-winning playwright, TV writer and novelist, and though this play of hers was written in the '80s, its healing humor and relatable themes remain every inch as relevant today. Enjoy Loose Knit on the stage of Chicago's Public House Theatre.
