"...This cast is excellent: at times, you have the sense of performers like Edgar Blackmon and, especially, Steve Waltien, needing yet more opportunities to unleash their formidable comedic chops (Blackmon gets looser and funnier with every show). The pair of them are like springs, waiting to uncoil. They each need one more juicy bit; Waltien, who is very funny at the improvised top, needs some kind of melt-down payoff."

"...When a show arrives with a title like "Let Them Eat Chaos," you might expect all things revolutionary and turbulent. But there is no guillotine or Reign of Terror in The Second City's 101st revue. Instead, the upheaval comes in the form of stylistic experimentation. The result is a show - directed by the gifted Matt Hovde, the Jeff Award winner behind "Studs Terkel's Not Working" - infused with music and projections and literary conceits."
Chicago Stage Review - Somewhat Recommended
"...Let Them Eat Chaos is entertaining, but unfrenzied and certainly not chaotic. With no chaos being served up, the audience is expected to eat up the sketch comedy equivalent of pub grub in a venue that should never offer such standard fare."

"...Early in The Second City's 101st revue Let Them Eat Chaos, the excellent Second City veteran Katie Rich sits on the stage alone and alternately chats with the audience, and sings and plays some simple notes on a mini-xylophone. Mixing romantic cliches with ribbing (every parent has a least favorite child, someone in the audience was brought along by a group that doesn't really want them there), the tone is set for a show which offers plenty of laughs with an underlying current of sweetness."

"...I can't imagine a finer date night show that The Second City revues. They are fun, talented and exciting. Of all the comedy venues in town - the Second City is still the benchmark for comedy revues. Their Equity players are major talents and the revues are world class comedy. Just get to their Wells Street venue for a good time, a few drinks. Take your special someone to The Second city to enjoy their latest revue: Let Them Eat Chaos. It is fun and quite funny. enjoy!"

"...It is always amazing to see the new talent that 2nd City finds, year after year after year. Yes, The Second City is not what it used to be- it is not as much improvisation as it was in the “early years” with a great deal of the show somewhat “scripted”, but they are geniuses at using the audience and playing off them as they did in the “early years”. They are now doing their 101st Review! Imagine that 101 shows made up by young comedians who as it turns out, continue to rise to the top. Director Matt Hovde and his wild cast of players take us on a ride that deals with who we are, to ourselves and to those around us.
Chicagoland Theater Reviews - Highly Recommended
"...The ensemble consists of the usual complement of three males and three females. Most are veterans of Second City (only Ross Bryant is a rookie). Each of them brings a distinct physical presence to the show and they all establish their own personalities (Holly Laurent and Steve Waltien complete the cast). Their rapport and compatibility, whether in duos or in ensemble skits, is exceptional. The show was in great shape on opening night, the tricky staging and material flowing in a natural and inevitable progression. The six performers have the potential to be one of the all-time best groups in this cabaret theater's dazzling history."
