Accidental Shakespeare will start off its 2016-2017 season with a staged reading of Hell: A Verse Drama and Photo-Play, written in 1924 by Upton Sinclair, (best known for his 1906 novel The Jungle) and directed by Chris Aruffo. The play will feature company members Julia Kessler and Angeli Primlani. Hell is a fun four-act comedy, consisting of mischievous devils and fanciful angels, that criticizes the capitalist machinations of World War I and advocates socialist-based change (while not sparing socialism from satirical examination).
