"...What starts out as a brief and idiosyncratic history of the cosmos morphs into a sci-fi prophecy of earth's doom in this earnest but scatterbrained show written and staged by Collaboraction artistic director Anthony Moseley. Throughout the piece, a strong emphasis is placed on communication, technology, and humans gathering around campfires, but it's never clear how those themes relate to the script's dire warnings about war and climate change."

"...Although Connected can be extremely disjointed, it sometimes impresses as it draws upon old and new theatrical practices to get its points across. Collaboraction certainly has the right to be indulgent for its 20th anniversary, though the mishmash end result of Connected often feels like a low-rent planetarium show straining to inspire awe."

"...Connected is a unique and powerful experience that challenges preconceptions of what is possible in family theater. At times you may want to look away (and this might not be the best pick for all children), but it will offer much to talk about on the way home. It may even inspire you to try to make a difference."

"...“Connected” does bring up some key issues in our hyper-communicative modern state. Yet it often does so from an inflexibly Luddite perspective, rarely addressing the power of connecting people who don’t agree. Instead, it opts to portray a hand-holding vision of the world that was never true in the first place and is somehow less satisfying than our more complicated reality."
