Albright Theatre will be hosting auditions for the edge of your seat thriller - Wait Until Dark written by Frederick Knott.

Auditions will be held August 27th @7:30pm AND August 29th @7:30pm at the Albright Theatre. Please arrive early to complete an audition form and have your photo taken.

Plot Summary:
Susy Hendrix is a blind Greenwich Village housewife who becomes the target of three con-men searching for the heroin hidden in a doll, which her husband Sam unwittingly transported from Canada as a favor to a woman who has since been murdered. Follow along as Susy fights for her life in the darkness she has come to know so well.

These are GENERAL descriptions and NOT LAW. The Director has no problem switching gender roles and shifting ages if it makes sense and does not alter the plot. Character Synopsis:
SUSY - Female 25 - 50 . A blind woman matching wits with three con men in a game that becomes increasingly more dangerous.

SAM - Male 25-50. Susy's husband

MIKE - Male 25-50. Con man. A small time criminal, willing to use violence but has a streak of good.

CARLINO - Male 25-50. Con man.

ROAT - Male 25-50. Pure evil. Tightly wound and even more tightly controlled

GLORIA - Female between 8-18

COPS 1 & 2 - Male or Female Able to play 20-50.

Auditions are open and will consist of cold readings from the script.

Time Commitment:

how dates are weekends October 27- November 11 (Friday and Saturday night performance and Sunday matinee on the first two weekends)
