MCL Chicago is pleased to announce we are holding auditions for 8 Vocalists to be selected to compete in our next seasons of Gotcha Covered!
Gotcha Covered takes place Saturdays at 8pm, at MCL Chicago 3110 N. Sheffield.
We are seeking stunning vocalists to perform in a 4 week show, wherein 4 singers vie for audience votes, singing cover songs with a live band based on a weekly challenge. The audience votes on their favorite two singers of the night, and during the season the votes accumulate for the competitors. On the final 4th week a winner is announced! ($100 prize)
Weekly pop song challenges have included: One-hit Wonders, Gender Swap, and Diva's Week. The show itself includes an ensemble of musical improvisers who intersperse the evening with audience-based improvised songs.
We are selecting 4 competing vocalists for each of the following seasons**.
Season 3) May 13th - June 3rd
Season 4) July 8th - July 29th
Please come to the audition prepared to sing two cover songs* of contrasting styles. You will be singing a capella (without accompaniment - however our music director Stephanie McCullough will be there to give you a starting note or chord if needed). We are looking for amazing voices with performance charisma.
