Petite Opera, Park Ridge, IL. General auditions SAT Mar 18 (10AM-6PM); TUE Mar 21 (7PM-10PM); and SAT Mar 25 (10AM-6PM), 2017 by appmt only. Local Chicago-area residents only (no housing/trans allowance). Seeking leads (paid), chorus section leaders/covers (paid), adult chorus roles (volunteer). All works performed in an intimate acoustic space, in English, for 6+ performances. Casting open roles for season to include a Rossini opera (Nov 3-19), and an operetta (TBD, spring 2018).
Auditions will be held at Park Ridge, IL. Address provided by company in audition confirmation email.
Pay: Varied; flat fee for Leads and Chorus Section Leads/Covers. Chorus is volunteer.
Prepare two arias/selections of approp length/style that demonstrate range, vocal ability, characterization; one must be in English. Be prepared to read, improvise, and learn/perform a dance routine.
