PlayLab Productions is casting performers for an upcoming interactive, irreverent, hip hop, comedy experience-The Church of Hip Hop.

We are seeking improvisers, dancers, beatboxers, freestyle rappers, musical improvisers, burlesque dancers, performance artists and anyone that can bring energy and magic to a stage. All performers should be comfortable with audience interaction.

The Church of Hip Hop is being devised/improvised by performers in the form of a church service/variety show partly in studio and in front of live audiences. Be a part of creating a full comedic world where Kim Kardashian (a bouffon) is convinced that her true love, Kayne West has died and it's up to her to continue his legacy by starting a church for Yeezus. With the best intentions, Pastor Kim, brings together some of Chicago's best rappers, graffiti artist, b-boys and poets to perform in Yeezus' honor.

The Church of Hip Hop is a comic journey into a world that has fully brought into the hype of mainstream hip hop and examines what happens when pop culture meets street culture.

Auditions will be held at Dovetail Studios, Studio 3 (2853 W Montrose Ave. Chicago IL 60618)
