Gorilla Tango Burlesque seeks to cast performers for a new burlesque parody, "Great Scott, Those Are Boobs: A Back to the Future Parody," as well as understudies for our weekly, open-run parody burlesque productions. GTB's newest production is written and directed by Booker Dano and choreographed by Jean Wildest. Auditions will be dance-based with light cold readings- held on Wednesday, May 25 and Thursday, May 26 from 8:00pm - 11:00pm and scheduled in groups in 1-hour slots.
Rehearsals will be 1-3 days per week (depending on role) June through August and are always scheduled based on actor availability. "Great Scott" is tentatively scheduled to open on Saturday, September 10 at 10:30pm and is slated to run Saturday nights for three months, with the possibility of extension. Understudy positions in ongoing shows perform Fridays or Saturdays at 9:00pm and 10:30pm depending on casting. Understudies will begin performing in July/August and are guaranteed at least one performance per month.
Auditions will consist of a dance taught day-of followed by some light cold readings. Please Note: You will be required to strip down to a bra as part of your group dance audition, though no formal burlesque training or experience is required.
