The Diary Of Anne Frank
Published in over 60 languages, this historic tale is brought to the stage to further convey Anne's incredible story. Anne Frank and her family went into hiding for two years during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. This poignant adaptation chronicles Anne's hopes, fears, and the struggle of living under persecution. Improv Playhouse is once again proud to present our annual production of this honored classic.
James And The Giant Peach
Based on the acclaimed novel by Roald Dahl, this musical imagining brings to life the adventurous spirit and boisterous characters of one of the world's most beloved authors. When young James is sent by his insidious aunts to chop down the peach tree in their yard, he has no idea that he's in for an adventure beyond anything he could imagine! Follow James from the peril of the high seas all the way to the top of the Empire State Building as he learns about friendship, courage, and value of ingenuity.

Daytime availability is a MUST.
Anne Frank:
Rehearsals Monday-Thursday mornings in March and April, possible evening rehearsals in early March. No more than 3 evening rehearsals, no more than 4 each week.
James:
Rehearsals Monday-Thursday mornings in April, 4 times a week.
Performances:
Anne Frank: April 12th-23rd Tues.-Thurs. Morning
James: May 5th-24th Tues.-Thurs. Morning
All rehearsals will take place at the Highland Park Community House. All performances will take place at the Community House and at Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center.
For Anne Frank: Please prepare a one-minute comedic or dramatic monologue. James: Please prepare a one-minute comedic monologue and 16-32 bars of a song from any musical. If auditioning for both, please only prepare one comedic monologue. Feel free to bring your own accompaniment, or accompany yourself on an instrument of your choice. No a cappella, please. You may be asked to move.
