MPAACT announces auditions for Feral, by Shepsu Aakhu.

SYNOPSIS: The word FERAL has been tagged on buildings across the city. FX (Francis Xavier) is behind this politically motivated campaign. He is young, Black and full to bursting with ideas about himself and the world around him. On a warm night in late July, FX and the local police share a moment of violence. The city and country respond...but what about FX, his family, friends, and the complex ideas that he hoped to communicate? In the national conversation "Black Lives Matter," FERAL looks at youth, idealism, and desperation.

LOOKING FOR:
Francis Xavier Ward (FX): Black male, college student, age 20. A mix of Chicago street smart and University idealism.

Lacey Ward: Black woman on the cusp of womanhood, age 17. Model student, adores her brother (FX).

Mr. Ward: Black male, late 40's/early 50's. Father of FX and Lacey.

Toma: Black male, age 18. Childhood friend of FX and Lacey, still caught in his high school identity.

Reporter/Anthony Davis: Black Male, 30's. "Urban Reporter," trying to do a tough job and trying to keep his soul.

Police Officer: Age 30's. Gender and Race open. This officer only bleeds blue.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, February 7, from 6:00-9:00 PM at The Theatre School at DePaul.
Callbacks, Monday, February 8, from 6:00-9:00 PM
