(re)discover theatre is currently looking for two Men (20's-ealry 30's) for the cast of 'Fifty Shades of Shakespeare' directed by Janet Howe.
In "Fifty Shades of Shakespeare" we take 12 of Shakespeare's sexiest scenes and 4 actors learn all the rolls in every scene. Then at the top of the night the audience draws straws to see which actor will play each roll. The show produces a fun mix of gender rolls and mixed pairings.
We are looking for actors with great text work, comfort with improvisation and a sense of playfulness.
(The female roles are filled by the two lovely ladies who did the show last year so we are just casting men at this time.)
Rehearsal: January 3 - February 1; Sun. - Thus. 6:30-10:30pm
(5 Rehearsals in December TBD based on cast availability)
Tech: February 2-4 6-11pm
Performances: February 5-28 Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings
Auditions will consist of sides that will be provided and prepared in advance.
