Theater Wit
The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence

Pay: $175/wk

Description:

Watson: trusty sidekick to Sherlock Holmes; loyal engineer who built Bell's first telephone; unstoppable super-computer that became reigning Jeopardy! champ; amiable techno-dweeb who, in the present day, is just looking for love. These four constant companions become one in this brilliantly witty, time-jumping, loving tribute (and cautionary tale) dedicated to the people-and machines-upon which we all depend.

WATSON (30-50, male) -- Sweet and bumbling, but with a certain unaffected sex appeal. Plays an AI, a tech support guy, Sherlock Holmes' sidekick and Alexander Graham Bell's assistant. Good control of language. Facility with dialects (New England and Standard British) required.

MERRICK (30-50, male) -- Driven personality, tightly wound and severe in aspect, but with a lot of feeling underneath. Plays a tea party politician, Alexander Graham Bell and a mad scientist. Requires New England and Standard British.

ELIZA (27-35, female) -- Fierce and intelligent. Naturally reserved, but capable of great extremes of emotion. Plays a computer programmer, a victorian gentlewoman and a 1930s radio host. Dialects: 30s New York, Standard British.
