The New Colony seeks to cast the role of Stanley in in the upcoming world premiere musical Stanley in the Name of Love. A trailer park fairy decides to become a pornstar because he wants to fall in love. Stanley, his hag, and a chorus of gay angels take off on the Road to Love. Along the way, they find Rod Fullalove, a beguiling pornstar, a man with a deep hole to fill. The powers of love and meaninglessness collide in this absurdist gay porn dance pop musical. This new work will be devised together by the playwright and the actors. At The New Colony, we bring together theatre and improvisation to create new works strongly influenced by people working on them. It's wild good fun making new theatre - but it's not for everybody. We're looking for actors and improvisers who are interested in building new work from the ground up. All actors who create roles receive credit in this and all future productions and share in royalties. Stanley is an impossibly positive bloke on a mission to find love in a meaningless universe. We're looking for somebody with a great pop tenor range, can dance well enough to pull of some ripped off Britney Spears choreography, is comfortable improvising and loves Lady Gaga (optional but a plus.)

Seeking Tenor range. Strong voice to carry the majority of the singing in the show. As written, there is a moment of nudity in the play. This is a negotiable issue to be handled between the actor and the director.
