Additional auditions by appointment for the 2015 Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival productions of The Winter's Tale (Directed by Drew Frascher) and Romeo and Juliet (Directed by Ryan Producing Artistic Director Grant Mudge) will be held Monday, February 2, from 1:00pm - 7:00pm.

Mudge will conduct the audition, and seeks three (3) male actors ages 50 & up for The Winter's Tale (Antigonus and the Old Shepherd) and Romeo and Juliet (Capulet).

Actors for The Winter's Tale may be Equity (URTA Agreement) or non-­‐Equity. The production begins rehearsals July 21, and runs at Notre Dame from August 18-30. Pay commensurate with experience. Housing and transportation reimbursement provided.

Romeo and Juliet is a non-Equity tour. This 60-­minute production will visit high schools and one prison in the South Bend, IN region. Pay is $1500 plus housing and transportation.

Actors may be asked to read from the scripts, and should prepare one (1) classical monologue under two (2) minutes in length. (Preferably Shakespeare, but more important you it know well, and with which you can play.)

Required: Strong Shakespeare skills

Preferred: Actors who play musical instruments. Please be prepared to play 16-­‐32 bars. (You will receive a longer audition slot. No accompaniment or instruments provided.) Singing a plus.

Helpful: For R&J: Stage combat skills, specifically sword fighting
