Seeking highly versatile actors/singers who move well for When Good Broccoli Goes Bad
Play Description: Little Broccoli is bored. She is tired of being green and healthy. So she sets out to explore life outside of the vegetable crisper and embarks on an adventure to the top of the refrigerator. Along the way, Broccoli encounters a host of frightening unhealthy foods, and she must struggle to find her way back to her safe, healthy home.  Using music from different genres and decades, this musical offers young people the historical and nutritional food information they need to help them learn the value of healthy eating.

Brother Spinach/White Bread/Beet - Male
Okra/Granny Smith/White Rice/Cane Sugar - Female
Corn/Apple 1/Wheat Bread - male or female
Apple 2/ Brown Rice/Chocolate - male
Collard Greens /Salty/Fish - male
Garlic /Corn Syrup/Chicken  - male
Onion/Raw Honey/Bacon-female

Male Understudies for all male roles

Female understudies: for all female roles.

All understudies will likely have an opportunity to perform.

Auditions will be held at DuSable Museum 740 E 56th Place Chicago IL 60637

Rehearsals:
Monday-Friday 9/15/14 through 9/26/14
10am-1pm
Monday and Tuesday 9/29/14 and 9/30/14
10am-6pm

Shows:
October 1st at 10am
October 2nd,15th,16th,29th at 10:30am
November 12th and 13th at 10:30am

Material To Prepare:

Please perform a one minute spoken nursery rhyme. Please sing 16 bars a cappella of an r&b, blues, or gospel song. We are looking for energy, versatility, and commitment.
