The Cuckoo's Theater Project will present their first production with Noah Haidle's play Mr. Marmalade directed by Eva Laporte. We will be having Auditions on May 3rd at 10am-12.45pm at Theatre Momentum 1800 W. Cornelia Ave #111A Chicago, IL 60657 In Studio C.

Lucy is a four-year-old girl with a very active imagination. Unfortunately, her imaginary friend Mr. Marmalade doesn't have much time for her. Not to mention he beats up his personal assistant, has a cocaine addiction, and a penchant for pornography and very long dildos. Larry, her only real friend, is the youngest suicide attempt in the history of New Jersey. Mr. Marmalade is a savage black comedy about what it takes to grow up in these difficult times.

Character Break Down 

Mr. Marmalade- Lucy's imaginary friend; sharp dresser dresser. Never has any time for her.

One Actor plays the Following Roles

George- He is Larry's Older Brother. He likes to beat up Larry a lot.

A Cactus - Larry's imaginary friend and talking plant

A Man- Sookie's one night stand.

The Following Roles are Played by One Actress

Sookie- Lucy's mom she relies on men for more than they are good for.

Emily-She is baby sitter and the first girl in her class to get boobs.

A Sunflower- Larry's Imaginary Friend and talking plant
