Main Street Opera is excited to announce auditions for our 2014 season! The season will feature Humperdinck's Hansel & Gretel (in English) and Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor (in Italian), as well as many concert opportunities throughout the year. Performances of Hansel & Gretel are June 27th, 29th, and July 11th with rehearsals to begin mid May. Performances of Lucia di Lammermoor will be September 5th, 6th, 19th and 21st with rehearsal to begin mid July. We are casting all roles and covers. All singers will be paid a small stipend.
Auditions will be held over two weekends in Arlington Heights and Chicago:

If auditioning for a leading role, please bring 3 pieces - one must be in Italian, and preferably from one of the operas. Those auditioning for ensemble and smaller roles may bring two pieces - one in a foreign language of your choosing.
