Seeking Male and female actors for all roles except Norma Desmond.

JOE GILLIS - A handsome, broad-shouldered man in his early thirties; disillusioned and opportunistic writer with a cynical attitude to the Hollywood movie world!
A flat (below middle C) G natural high [Bari-tenor)

MAX VON MAYERLING - A once famous movie director now Norma's butler. 50 to 60 years old.
G natural (below middle C) to G flat, A rich classical style voice with a strong 2 octave range. [Baritone]

BETTY SCHAEFFER - A young, clean cut script reader at Paramount Studios. She falls in love with Joe not aware of his relationship with Norma. 20 to early 30's.
G natural (below middle C) to F (top line of stave).
Well controlled musical theatre style lyrical voice (Mezzo-soprano with great mix).

CECIL B. DEMILLE - The legendary ?lm director at Paramount Studios. Autocratic but loving and protective of Norma. 50-60 years old.
A flat to D natural. [Baritone]

ARTIE GREEN - A young Assistant Director at Paramount. Joe's good friend and Betty's fiancee. 30 to 40 years old.
Must be a strong singer. Baritone

SHELDRAKE - A movie studio executive. Brash and slightly pompous. 40 to 60 years old.
Middle C to D natural (just over an octave) [Baritone]

MR. MANFRED - A rather oily-looking men's haberdasher. 30 to 50 years old. Baritone/Tenor. Also doubles in Ensemble. Indeterminate age. Middle C to top G natural. [Baritone]
