HELLO, DOLLY!

Dolly Levi: 35-50 The quintessential matchmaker, warm, full of life, strong commanding stage presence. Strong singer who moves well with great comic ability.

Horace Vandergelder: 40s-50s Comic character man, gruff, stubborn, easily agitated. Good singer who moves well.

Cornelius Hackl: 30s, head clerk at the Vandergelder's feed Store, energetic, enthusiastic, and seeking the adventure he's never had. Good singer who dances and has strong comic ability.

Barnaby Tucker: Can play late teens-early 20s; Assistant to Cornelius at the Feed Store, na�ve, wide-eyed, eager, loyal follower. Good singer with strong dancing ability.

Irene Molloy: Late 20s-30s; Owns the Hat Shop, widow, beautiful, smart, classy, adventurous. Strong soprano, good dancer, able to do comedy.

Minnie Fay: Can play late teens-early 20s; Irene's assistant, na�ve, fresh, a little straight-laced but secretly looking for adventure. Good singer, very strong dancer who can handle comedy.

Ambrose Kemper: Early 20s, struggling artist, good-natured, accommodating, wants to marry Ermengarde. Good singer, strong dancer.

Ermengarde: Early 20s, Horace's niece, high-strung, wants to marry Ambrose. Good singer, strong dancer.

SCROOGE, THE MUSICAL

Ebenezer Scrooge: Late 40s or older. The ultimate miser, bitter, misanthropic, but capable of a miraculous transformation into a man of good cheer. Good singer who can handle comedy.

Bob Cratchit: 30s, Scrooge's clerk, warm, loving, family man with a large heart. Good singer.

Jacob Marley: 40s-50s; Scrooge's deceased business partner - much the same character as Scrooge.

Young Ebenezer: 20s, A younger version of Scrooge before he became bitter; hopeful, friendly, full of fun, good singer who moves well.

Fred: Late 20s, Scrooge's nephew, very much like Young Ebenezer, good singer.

Fezziwig: 40s, Comic character man, merry, full of life, warm, traditionally a bit rotund, good singer who moves very well.

Isabel: Early 20s, beautiful young ingenue, sweet, optimistic, poor and content to be so. Very good soprano who moves well.

Ghost of Christmas Past: 20s, pretty young woman who seems wise beyond her years, kind hearted.

Ghost of Christmas Present: 30s-40s, Larger than life character man, fun-loving, commanding, with a kind spirit. Good singer who moves well.

Tom Jenkins: Late 20s-30s, Street merchant, energetic, friendly, clever, very good singer and dancer.

Mrs. Fezziwig, Mrs. Cratchit, Mrs. Dilber: Late 30s-40s, warm, fun-loving, sing and dance well.

Time Commitment:

DOLLY: 1st rehearsal August 6; show runs August 23-October 21

SCROOGE: 1st rehearsal October 8; show runs October 25-December 23

All rehearsal and performances in Wisconsin.

Material To Prepare:

Please prepare a short song in the style of the shows; singing from either show is acceptable. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. Bring headshot and resume.
